Heber Lodge #17

  • 1036.png
Heber Lodge #17 was originally started in 1902. On January 13th, 1915 their meeting place (Cleburne County Bank building) caught fire and the Odd Fellows lost everything. It wasn't even a year later that all membership of Heber Lodge #17 ceased to exist. On 08/05/2024 The Grand Lodge of Arkansas issued a Dispensation for members in Heber Springs to resurrect the Heber Lodge. With 8 Charter members, Odd Fellowship has been brought back to Heber Springs.

Fun Facts:
IOOF traces its roots to England’s “odd trades” guilds in the 1700s, where workers in miscellaneous trades banded together for mutual aid. This origin story explains the “odd” in Odd Fellows.
