The Oregon Grand Encampment is the governing body for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Encampments in Oregon. Membership is open to all Third Degree members in good standing. The Oregon Rebekah Assembly is the governing body for the Oregon Rebekahs. Established on September 20, 1851, the Rebekahs, also known as the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies (IARA), and originally the Daughters of Rebekah is an international service-oriented organization and a branch of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. It was initially designed as the female auxiliary of the IOOF but now allows both female and male members.
Serving North Portland since 1894, Peninsula Lodge is an active and integral part of the community. Most members are in their 30s and 40s. The lodge operates as a co-op community center offering martial art, dance, music, and theater classes. All instructors are members of the lodge. Outside rentals are not allowed, but non-profits, schools, and government agencies may use the building for free. We do things differently, as we work to Keep Portland Odd.
