Bushkill Encampment #55

Instituted in Bushkill Center (Nazareth) on November 16, 1946. We had two consolidations: Valley Union Encampment No. 138 of Easton (1/6/1866 - 12/28/1972) and Star Encampment No. 139 of Bethlehem (1/6/1866 - 9/23/1976). Around 2015 we moved to Allentown, then around 2020 down to Sellersville, where we currently meet. The Bushkill Encampment #55 is a higher branch in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows whose aim is to further the work of Odd Fellowship and impart the principles of Faith, Hope, and Charity.

In 1851, the IOOF became the first U.S. fraternity to include women by creating the Rebekah Degree, thanks to Schuyler Colfax. Named after the biblical Rebekah.
